A pretty picture

He paints a pretty picture.

A streak of glowing, warm sunlight

Gleaming on a small girl in a flowy white lace dress.

He dips his brush in purple paint

Making a field of sweet lavenders come alive

But the story then had a twist.

The brush furiously runs across the canvas,

as the strong wind creates madness.

Purple petals blowing everywhere

Covering the peaceful land.

The shadow of the thick clouds,

Enclosing the child’s adventurous soul.

Panting

the girl ran toward the horizon

Embracing the last streak of hope.
