Rays of light kiss the ground as they filter through the leaves and branches from the big trees above. The only sounds Erin can hear are the deep breaths she takes and the chatter of the trees gently scraping against each other. It is warm where she is hiding, the sun on her back. “I am listening to you.” Erin thought in her mind.
“One”
“Two”
“Three”
And it stopped, the counting stopped. Erin crawls up from the ground as the dead leaves crunch. “Why has the counting stopped?” Erin questions aloud. All that is around her are the trees standing still as there is no trace of another human. She decided that she should head back, but at that instant, she finds out that she doesn’t know where she is. She’s gone too deep into the forest that she doesn’t know her way back. Just as she tries to give out a shout for help, a gust of wind passes her, rushing towards the rockface. “Woah,” She said as the leaves carried by the wind sprinted toward the corner. She gets drawn toward the levitating leaves; and follows it into the unfamiliar forest. As she’s slowly walking, she didn’t realize a raven was sitting on a tree above her. “This is going to be fun.” The raven snickers. As he goes down landing right in front of her.
“Woah!” Erin gives out in surprise.
“Hello Erin,” As the raven suddenly turns into a fair man in a purple suit.
“Who are you?” As Erin takes a step back, almost tripping over a rock.
“Hey! Be careful, you almost tripped over a troll!” The man asks as he gives out his hand. Erin swiftly looks back and sees a rock troll standing up.
“What is that! And who are you? How did you just turn from a bird to-” She cries.
“I am Sirius, your highness.” He replied quickly.
“Your highness?” Erin asks. She was only an eleven year old normal girl.
“Your highness, we do not have much time. I’m sure you don’t know who your mother is?” Sirius asks as he stares into Erin’s unusual purple eyes.
“My father told me that my mother died when I was a baby.”
“Well, your mother is still alive.”
“What do you mean?” Erin puzzles.
“Your mother was the queen of Ravaryn. A hidden kingdom some no humans know about. However, our kingdom is in great danger. The queen has asked me to take you back to save our kingdom.”
“Me?”
