A creative story based on given words

Words:

* wind [windy]

* lace

* lavender

* top hat

* dolphin

* panting [pant, panted]

* shadow [shadowy, shadows, shadowing]

On a windy day, an American would sit on a lavender couch covered with yellowing lace and press buttons on a remote that looks like a top hat. The tv channel would change to Animal world, and the American would watch rehearsed dolphins clicking at a camera for 20 seconds before getting bored and switching to Fox News. Some television show hosts would be there to greet him. Hours pass on, the American listens tentatively to the host debate with “the democrats”, and watches helplessly as the host lies right in front of millions of people’s faces.

Is this really what the mainstream media has turned into?

America’s news network is a waste of time. It is essentially a facade to keep people from caring about real-life issues, like climate change, income inequality, zero taxes being imposed on the rich, and greedy pharmaceutical companies. American news is not news at all. It is a reality show that features incredible actors that are funded by billionaires; these actors debate each other and are set against each other to make the viewer of their respective channels feel outraged at the opposing side, and think with absolute certainty that their side is right.

It really is amazing how advanced and subtle this facade is. It is so subtle that even 13-year-olds who don’t live in America can see right through it. I could even hear Tucker Carlson panting through the screen after yelling at the democrats. Keeping the very people who are supposed to be running a democracy in the shadows is very fun work for him.

The takeaway? it is important to remain independent in thought -- In a society where even the news starts to lie.
